Carrots Of Love

This is an adorable carrot cake from nothing bundt cakes. Will LOVES carrot cake, and even though everyone says it would have meant more if I would have made it myself.... this way he could actually eat the cake. But the highlight of this day is not this little round cake with a hole in the middle. It s Cucina Toscana. Will is known for making these super secret special reservations, at these amazing places. I could dish about this place for hours. ha, I made a food pun First... the table. I know I know, if the food is good enough it doesn t matter where you sit... but it matters to me. I could not have selected a better table. I am picky, I don t like to be in a pathway, I like my back to a wall. The boss, he likes a wall up which his back can be put against. It was perfect, tucked away, but still close enough to listen to fat businessmen discussing which airline has the best stewardess outfits.. We started with a bottle of San Fabiano and bruschetta. Then the cesar for two. Holy romaine it was amazing. Dressing made at the table, all the ingredients measured and added, whisked in a large bowl. egg Delicious real anchovies. not paste Then tossed together and served on a bed of parmesan. I had the salmon, topped with shrimp in cognac and cream sauce, Will had veal scallopini with itallian sausage. Amazing dishes. We finished dinner off with the most amazing pistachio gelato I have ever tasted, served with biscotti and hot chocolate. no espresso... it was like 9 30pm by that time A truly lovely evening.
