Netherlands Pavilion aka Happy Street Architect John Kormeling 2010 Location Shanghai, China One of the more interesting pavilions at the expo, in my opinion. It was meant to represent a typical Dutch village with homes and shops, except that these buildings were all cantilevered without any supports over a suspended walkway. It was both wondrous and foreboding, which is what I tried to capture here a bit like a carnival fun house. Several people have wondered if this is an HDR image It s not. It s a single frame. But it definitely has a bit of an HDR look to it because of the light show being projected on the sides of the building by spotlights which just look like white light due to the long exposure , and the weird, reddish glow from the other lighting around the pavilion . 88017382 N00 has added Remembering Expo 2010 at 2010 06 19 05 56 19 and tagged as expo 2010
