The San Francisco Bay Bridge

san francisco bay bridge container ships n07 pedestrians treasure island day in br

On our first day in San Francisco we took the ferry from Oakland to SF, which is actually pretty cool and much cheaper than parking in the city. From the ferry you can see the Oakland harbor with the container ships and than the view onto SF gets more and more impressive as you come closer. This view is just shortly before the Bay Bridge, which connects Oakland and San Francisco. When you leave San Francisco to Oakland, you drive on the lower level of the bridge and you don not have to pay a toll fee for crossing. Coming from Oakland to San Francisco, you have to pay a toll fee between 4 and 6, depending on the time and day. But than, you ll drive on the top level of the bridge. The Bay Bridge does not have an extra side for pedestrians or bycyclists, yet. But they will build a new part of the bridge the Bay Bridge is divided into two parts by Treasure Island on the Oakland s side, which will get an extra side for pedestrians and bycyclists.67877697 N07 has added The San Francisco Bay Bridge at 2012 07 14 12 47 33 and tagged as san francisco bay br
