The Upper Library: Merton College

The photos of Merton College Library were very poor because it s dimly lit and flash obviously isn t allowed. A collage seems to be the solution, it would have been such a pity not to share these images of this beautiful library.. Another trip to Oxford and the highlight of the day was the tour of Merton College Library. I was the only person on the tour which made it even more of a treat. It s not as important as the Bodleian or as beautiful as Codrington.but it oozes atmosphere, I swear that I can still smell it, the wood, the leather and most of all the history. Merton College Library is one of the earliest libraries in England and the oldest library in the world in continuous daily use.
