The oldest buildings dates from 1847 and from that time there was build a building in the style from every decade until the 1990 s. Due to rationalisation and automation Carlsberg build a big new plant on the other side of Denmark, and closed the one in Copenhagen. In November 2007 the last bottle of beer was filled. There are big plans with this plant.
