Located on East Brother Island off San Pablo Point in San Francisco Bay about 2 miles north of the Richmond San Rafael bridge. The adjacent point is private property with no access, making photography difficult. Constructed and provided with a 4th order Fresnel lens in 1874. Private funding and volunteer work have restored the lighthouse to it s present pristine state. Added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1971. Functioning now as a Bed and Breakfast with 4 rooms in the lighthouse and 1 in the fog horn building.
