Architect Nils Ahrbom, Helge Zimdal Built in 1936 Client The School was designed by the two young architects, Nils Ahrbom and his partner Helge Zimdal, then 26 and 28 years old. The school was completed in 1936 and is one of functionalism s most beautiful and stylish buildings in Stockholm. The building is characterized by ita s simple geometric shapes and volumes. The bright facade with ita s continuous windows characterize the architectural language. The recessed entrance is reached via an arcade of round pillars and the Assembly halla s rounded building turns towards to the park and through the tall windows is the large organ pipes visible. The premises were renovated in 1996 with the help of the ninety year old Nils Ahrbom.
